Reformed Theology within Ajax Alliance Church & The Alliance Canada

Ajax Alliance Church is committed to evangelism, global missions, expository preaching and complementarianism. We have a strong focus on what we call 'the doctrines of grace'. These doctrines emphasize the radical corruption of humanity and the fact that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed by Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone – and we celebrate the sovereignty of God who alone is able to accomplish this work of salvation and call people to Himself. Whereas other traditions emphasize the role of the individual in exercising their free will to accept God’s gift of grace, those from the Reformed Tradition would emphasize God’s sovereignty enabling people to accept his gift of grace through faith. A passage such as Ephesians 1:3-14 would be a good example of the theological foundation for this tradition.
The Alliance Canada’s theological perspective is governed by their Statement of Faith which our pastor of Ajax Alliance Church has signed, and the church has adopted as part of our Local Church Constitution. Our pastor of Ajax Alliance Church has undergone a thorough licensing process, which is the Alliance process for ensuring the theological alignment of their pastors with their core Alliance beliefs. Their Statement of Faith does not specifically address Reformed Theology however, they do emphasize the exclusive role of Jesus Christ in our salvation as expressed in Articles 5 and 6, and they believe that the role of the Church is to proclaim this good news of salvation to all nations (Article 9). Our Pastor and the church are in full agreement with this statement.
